Snow way..............

ok the snow has finally gone and its been raining cats and dogs all day......bah! Apparently, next wednesday there is a 60% chance of more snow............no fair!!!

Anyways, everyones giving out about grit not being put out and how stocks weren't ordered correctly. There's also been articles in the newspapers about rubbish not being collected. Now correct me if I'm wrong.....most people complained the side roads weren't gritted and as a result they were treacherous. So who would want a dust cart.....how many tons of steel, slipping and sliding all the way down the side roads. Exactly, some people need to engage brain before letting their fingers hit the keyboard.

Juno is managing to wreck the garden. He's dug a couple of holes and the 'paths' he uses to do his patrol are mud paths. grrrrrr

Work is still busy. All the working from home I've done has made me realise how much I enjoy working with people and being in an office. My problem is still a problem. Very argumentative and touching on aggressive. Takes ever opportunity to dig at me that I'm not a qualified manager.....I'm not going to satisfy them and give them a copy of my cv. But anyways I'm plodding on using company policies - which are so fuzzy its ridiculous.

I see the Stonewall Top 100 Employers listing is out and there are some interesting slides in the list. Fair play to IBM for getting the Top Spot for a second time. Ooooh Transport for London slips to number 13 - hmmmmmmmm not good!

This morning......

......heard a noise from downstairs....was snuggled up in bed with the mrs......and I decided to peer over the stairs and have a look. Gem is making strange noises and messin about with one of the mats. I shouted at her and she walked off. Then a bit later on more noise and Juno disappeared downstairs. More strange noises so went down to havea nose.

What I found was one of the christmas tree decorations in flitters.....Gem has stalked and killed it for Juno. Juno was then finishing of the pulling out all the feathers.


Grrr its bad enough the other cats bring back mice for Juno. But Gem has been stalking the xmas tree since it went up.........took ages to hoover up the mess!

Is it over yet?!

Well its come and gone.....yes I'm talking about the snow and ice.......by xmas eve I was really cheesed off with it all. I like working from home but I prefer working in the office...anyways....

Well xmas has been pleasant. We've eaten less than we normally do....I got told off for drinking sparkling water on xmas day itsself. Well I'd had a few very strong Havana Club rum to drink on xmas eve and needed to clear my system. But had Tia Maria coffee after dinner to make up for it. There was bog all on tv.....apart from a few of the xmas specials like Victoria Wood and The Royles and Eastenders.....yes we succumbed so we could see Bianca propose to Ricky. What saved the day was Wifey buying me the complete series of Jericho on dvd. If you haven't seen it do. Its fantastic though I can understand why it flopped in America and they have continued the series.
Juno loved his xmas pressies....he got a 3ft long rawhide chew (I've been wanting to get him one of them since we got him) and he got 2 teddies. Octopus and Santa. He loves them so much he's fallen asleep cuddling them!!

I've been looking on line at the sales and to be honest I can't find any bargains. We tripped into Eastbourne today with a shopping list. New duvet cover...new bedsheet....jeans and a new coat for me......netting for the front bedroom and whatever else we could find. TJ Hughes was the best we spent £53 and got most of what we wanted (excluding my coat and the netting) and some new tops for wifey. Now thats what I call a sale and good value.

Have also started sorting out the house. We've (I think we've decided together) to get rid of all the rubbish things we have laying around the house. Like little teddy bears that hook onto mobile phones....I haven't got any of that sort of stuff says wifey.....oh says I so what about the one I bought you....Oh says wifey......Aye who says romance is dead! lol
